Arguably the highlight of IJD3 was the alien and/or Jameldic snacks kindly prepared by our hosts. This was helpfully labelled, for the benefit of guests with no previous experience of such fare.

Seasoned Jameldists will be aware of the importance and therapeutic value of fruitcake in Jameldic culture. Indeed, the Jameld word for pharmacist is fruktkohkar. Hence, such an item was appropriately available.

Returning to our alien theme, Ningis were served as a nibble. Fans of the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy will be aware that "a Ningi is a triangular rubber coin six thousand eight hundred miles along each side," so we provided edible facsimiles. In fact, they were blue corn tortilla chips. [Excerpt from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, by Douglas Adams.]

There was more cake, of course...

...and Twiglets. Oh, how we laughed.
A largely fictional report on the IJD3 celebrations appeared in the final issue of Zolid Matters, ZM12. It's in the Archive.
